What Will The Casino Industry Look Like In 20 Years?

The iGaming industry is not going through the best of times in its history – this is more about land-based businesses than virtual ones. What the gambling industry will look like in 20 years depends on the general state of the world economy, as well as on how loyal the governments of different countries are to the gambling business. Most likely, FairGo casino and similar online casinos will flourish. The Internet clubs, which cannot satisfy the demands of the demanding gambling public, will go out of the way.

Operators’ Focus on Markets of Emerging Countries

Slotegrator Company, according to its sales manager, believes that the most promising direction of development of the gambling industry is the countries with developing economies. It is especially about India – a country with a 1.5 billion population and a controversial attitude towards gambling. Many operators see in its market 750 million potential customers who have access to modern means of communication – laptops, tablets, and smartphones. There are no problems with the Internet connection in this region either – according to statistics, more than 700 million subscribers use the service on a regular basis. Having a gadget and an Internet connection automatically opens up access to online gambling, so it is not surprising that representatives of the gambling industry are betting heavily on business in this region.

The gambling industry considers such countries as promising markets:

  • Argentina – a population of nearly 45 million, 33 million Internet users.
  • Brazil – population of 215 million, 141 million Internet users.
  • Indonesia – 280 million, 181 million Internet users.
  • Colombia – 52 million, subscribers with Internet operators – more than 30 million.
  • Turkey – more than 83 million, 58 million have access to the World Wide Web.

Given the continued growth of subscribers to Internet operators, the number of people who will have access to online casinos in 20 years will be at about the same level as the population. But that doesn’t mean that every subscriber will be betting on sports or playing online slots, as every gambling establishment has an age limit. According to international rules, only adult gamblers are allowed to gamble for money – after 18 years old. In some countries, for example in Ukraine, it is allowed to use online gambling sites only from 21 years old.

Prospects of Online Gambling Development

In almost every developing country, the online gambling industry is illegal. Players cannot legally use the services of online casinos, bet on sporting events, or participate in lotteries. Gambling in Turkey is in a similar situation. The government totally monitors not only the Internet sites, but also gamblers and search engines. A player cannot go to an online casino site because they are all blocked. The only option is to use VPN services, which is used by the most ardent gambling fans.

Many governments attribute the ban on gambling to the religious characteristics of the population. The Turkish authorities justify the blocking of Internet sites by this aspect, although there are several state-owned companies in the country that offer:

  • Lottery drawings.
  • Numerical games.
  • Gambling entertainment with instant winnings.

A local horseback riding club under the supervision of the Ministry in charge of agriculture offers betting on horse races. Lottery drawings are managed by the National Lottery Administration, and supervised by the local Ministry of Finance. The state association SporToto is successfully operating in the Turkish market. The state-owned company IDDAA deals with online gambling, with taxes paid to the country’s treasury only by industry participants, and no percentage of winnings is charged from the players.

The successful development of online gambling in countries such as Turkey is possible only if foreign operators are allowed on the market. They have tremendous experience in organizing online gambling businesses, can offer customers a huge selection of slots, sports betting, and instant lotteries. A striking example of this is https://www.slotsup.com/online-casinos/australia-au, where you can choose a video slot with characters from blockbusters, treasure hunters, historical figures, animals, and detectives.

Trends in the Development of Gambling

Companies that work on creating gambling content do not cease to amaze the target audience with new slot machines. New slots with amazing opportunities to win regularly appear in their collections. In the future, similar trends will continue – there will be a lot of interesting slot machines with:

  • Bonus rounds.
  • Multiple multipliers.
  • Special characters.
  • Games on doubling.
  • Progressive and fixed jackpot.
  • Unconventional game fields.

Games from the category of live casinos, scratch cards, and video poker in the future will not lose relevance, especially among players who can not visit real clubs for objective reasons.

The Future of Land Based Casinos

As for the existence of real casinos, they will remain popular among the bohemian public, players who can afford tourist trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Macau and other world gambling centers. Undoubtedly, novelties from the best developments will appear on their sites, and the owners will offer participate in numerous promotions.

The situation in land-based gambling will largely depend on the loyal attitude to gambling on the part of the governments of different countries. If the states, where gambling halls are currently banned, will pass new legislation, their gambling market will revive. Other spheres, such as tourism, hotel and restaurant business, will develop in parallel with gambling. Otherwise, the most affluent citizens will still use the service of land-based casinos and related infrastructure in Monaco and other regions.
